Tamar Yacht Club office is located at 7 Park Street, Launceston. Our office hours are Tuesday - Friday from 9am-3pm.

We welcome members to relax in our club room and enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee during office hours.

Slip Yard

All boating facilities are available to senior members with boats on the club register.

At the Tamar Yacht Club premises in Launceston we have an excellent slipping facility for most sizes of boats. Contact the office to make a booking.

Moorings are available for boats under thirty feet, pile moorings are used for large boats, good jetty facilities are available for short term loading or longer term pontoons can be booked through the office.

Dinghy storage is available to senior members for a low annual rate and a club courtesy dinghy is provided for short term use.

For security reasons all club gates are locked before nightfall.

Beauty Point Marina

Tamar Yacht Club operates a modern 100 berth floating marina, at Beauty Point, for club members, visitors and guests.

Located on the Tamar Estuary, approximately 7 nautical miles from Low Head, it provides secure temporary and permanent berthing for yachts and powerboats, while visitors enjoy the hospitality of our Clubs, or dine at one of the nearby restaurants or hotels.

If you are visiting the Tamar Yacht Club, please phone the caretaker on 0418 321 339 to make a booking. If you arrive late, you are able to tie up to the public pontoon, adjacent to the marina.

Distillate is available for purchase at a nearby fuel berth during working hours.

There are several local tradesmen including a shipwright, with sailmakers in Launceston and Wynyard, while electronics servicemen are available in Launceston and Beauty Point.

Chandlery is available in Launceston at Tamar Marine and also Gravelly Beach Marine.

Mast and rigging specialists Almasts are situated in Launceston.
